According to the apostle Paul, Jesus will return at the last trump. For decades, the question of when this will be has been debated. The majority view in Christian circles is that one can know the season but not the year. This is based on the statement that Jesus made in Matthew 24:36, which states, "but of that day and hour no one knows".
Examining the timelines in the Old Testament and the events that will take place, according to the New Testament, before the return of Jesus, it emerges, however, that the very statement that Jesus made holds the key to the date of His return.
