• The three lines of the shin may be interpreted as three gen­eral dimensions of a human being: keter (will and pleasure), the intellect, and the emotions.

• There are two forms of the mem: the open mem and the closed mem. The open mem מ represents the revealed Torah and the closed mem ם represents the Torah’s secrets.

• Deuteronomy 6:8 instructs the Israelites to bind the law between their eyes. The first word of the Shema שמע   is written with a large ayin.

Together, the letters of the word hear, shema שמְע֣ו can be interpreted:

Man with his intellect, emotions and will, should acknowledge that the Lord is God Who sent His Son, as the bread that came down from heaven to reconcile man to God.

John 6:35. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

• Definition : Reverse numbers are obtained by reversing the order of the digits of two given integers. The one number mirrors the other.
• The reverse number of 27 is 72.
• 27 is the ordinal value of chokmah, wisdom, in Hebrew.
• 72 is the standard value of chokmah in Hebrew.
•  1 Corinthians 1:30. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 

• Obedience to the Law was counted as justification in the Old Testament:
• Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine.
• The Law was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
• And now instead, justification is through faith and obedience to the Law of Christ. Revelation 12:11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Jeremiah 7 is an admonition to children of Israel, commanding them to keep the Law.

And so is Revelation 2 written to the church of Ephesus.

They abandoned their first love.



In essence both passages are a reprimand to follow God’s Law:

• Jeremiah — the Law given on Sinai.
• Revelation — The Law that was fulfilled by Christ.
• The mystery concealed in the Old Testament, revealed in the New.

May the Lord give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you.
