Deeper Meaning of the word LORD
- Pictographically, the word Lord is interpreted, the arm י revealed ה,the nail ו revealed ה.
- This speaks of Jesus nailed to the cross.
- The first time God revealed Himself to Moses in Exodus, God instructed him to deliver the people of Israel from bondage. He revealed Himself as the LORD.
- His name, LORD, speaks of the redemption of both Israel from Egypt and foreshadowed the deliverance from sin which took place on the cross of calvary.
The numbers in the word LORD
- The sum of the letters in the word, Yahweh, reveals Jesus as both the Old and New Testament deliverer.
- Yud is the 10th letter and has an ordinal value of 10.
- Heh is the 5th letter with a value of 5.
- Vav is the 6th letter of the alphabet with a value of 6.
The sum of the numerical value of the letters in the name Yahweh, Lord, is 10+5+6+5. This equals 26. The number 26 is twice 13, and Jesus was the 13th man.

- This spells the name of the Lord, יהוה YHWH.
Conclusion
- The word Yahweh, which God declared to be His name forever reveals Jesus as the Deliverer Who should be praised for His complete work on the cross.
