וְאֵיבָ֣ה אָשִׁ֗ית בֵּֽינְךָ֙ וּבֵ֣ין הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וּבֵ֥ין זַרְעֲךָ֖ וּבֵ֣ין זַרְעָ֑הּ ה֚וּא יְשׁוּפְךָ֣ רֹ֔אשׁ וְאַתָּ֖ה תְּשׁוּפֶ֥נּוּ עָקֵֽב
Transliteration
Ve’evah ashit beneka uven ha’isha uven tsaraka uven tsara hu
yeshupeka rosh ve’atah teshupenu aqev
Enmity - אֵיבָה eyvah
- Because of this perpetual “enmity”, God’s eternal plan of redemption started in Genesis.
- God chose Abel and not Cain.
- The nation of Israel, above all other.
- Jacob over Esau.
- David over Saul.
- Jesus to destroy the works of devil.

Interpretation Isaiah 63:5
- The arm, י yod, of the strong leader, א aleph, is Jesus.
- He came and tabernacled, ב beyt, with man to reveal,ה hey, the Father.
- Jesus said “All things have been committed to Me by My Father.
- No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him”.
- Satan bruised His heel when Jesus was crucified; But Jesus crushed Satan’s head when He died and rose from dead and brought salvation.
Numerical Values of Adam
- The Hebrew word for used for bruise or crush is שוף shuwph. This word has a numerical value of 386.
- Yeshua crushed the head of Satan.
- The name, Yeshua ישוע, has a numerical value of 386.
Know your enemy, אֹיֵב oyev
- 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour”.
- 1 John 3:8 “For the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil”.
- John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy”.
- John 8:44 “He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.
Concluding Remark
Satan is a defeated enemy. In the words of Zechariah “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan”
