Be strong and
courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Joshua’s courage was based on the fact that God would fight their battles.
To be strong requires waiting on the Lord

The number 31.
The abbreviated form the word Elohim is El אל.
This word has a numerical value of 31: א = 1, ל = 30.
Courage expressed in numbers therefore speaks of God’s abundance.
Conclusion
The command, “Be strong and courageous!” is not reliant on man’s strength, but on his obedience to God’s commandments, Deuteronomy 1:7.
God’s promises are certain. It requires trust in the Lord through painful and laborious efforts, sometimes for a long time.
Courage means seeing the process through without being afraid in order
to receive an abundant blessing from the Lord.
Prayer
May the Lord give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you.
