Jesus as the object of praise

The four words hallel, baruk, tehillah and asre reveal Who should be praised: The Lamb of God Who was bruised for our iniquities and Who cleansed sinners by His blood and brought the Good News of salvation.

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honour and glory and blessing!”

Revelation 5:12.

The number 19

The number 19 is the sum of the Hebrew letters in the word praise, yadah ידה

The word praise, yadah, is repeated most in the book of Psalms, 70 times.

Psalms is the 19th book of the Bible.

The number 19 is considered the number of God’s perfect order which reflects in the seasons.

Synchronising the Hebrew calendar to the seasons and the number 19

The Hebrew calendar uses a 19-year intercalary cycle, known as the Metonic cycle, to synchronize its lunar months with the solar year. A standard Hebrew year has 12 lunar months, which is roughly 11 days shorter than a solar year. Without intercalation, religious festivals like Passover would "creep" backward through the seasons. To maintain Torah requirements that mandate Passover must occur in the spring, the Hebrew calendar employs an intercalary (leap) system. The Hebrew civil calendar adds an additional month, making 13 months total, in years 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 and 19 of each cycle.

Psalm 19

Psalm 19

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard
.
