Ezekiel 47:10 in Hebrew

Nouns - masculine

  • Nouns in Hebrew can be masculine, feminine or neuter.
  • Hebrew grammar incorporates gender and number in nouns, which affect
  • declension of adjectives and verbs.
  • דַּוָּג davvag is the Hebrew word for fisherman – ie one fisherman.
  • דַּוָּגִ֗ים davvagim - fishermen is a plural masculine noun.
  • Masculine nouns take the suffix “im” ים, to indicate the plural form.
  • The “im” suffix is added to the word דַּוָּג to render fishermen ַּוָּגִ֗ים

Nouns - construct and absolute

  • There are two forms in which Hebrew nouns and adjectives appear:
  • The construct and the absolute state.
  • In Biblical Hebrew, when a term stands alone and is not grammatically connected to another word, it appears in the absolute state.
  • The noun fisherman in the text is in the construct state.
  • dayag - fisherman
  • To form the plural of this word, the suffix “im” is added to the word.
  • דוג dayag plus “im” ים
  • ּוָדַּוָּגִ֗ים dayagim - fishermen is a plural masculine of fisherman.

Pictographs of the word - dagah, fish

ד the dalet represent a doorway.

ג the Hebrew word gamal which means give starts with the letter gimel

ה represents God’s creation power or breath.

Jesus said I am the way, the dalet, Who gave His life, gimel, so that all who are born of Spirit, heh, is a new creation.

Engedi and Eneglaimhe

  • The text indicates fishermen will fish from Engedi to Eneglaim.
  • Engedi is a location in the Judean desert in Israel.
  • En Gedi עֵין גֶּדִי in Hebrew literally means "Spring of the Kid" or "Fountain of the Young Goat" expressing the idea of abundant water.

  • Eneglaim is a site that is unknown, presumably by the Dead Sea.
  • Between this site and En Gedi, Ezekiel prophesied that fishermen would one day spread their nets, Ezekiel.47.10. The word means "fountain of two calves"

The Young Goat

  • The young goat speaks of Israel.
  • The prophet Isaiah said that Israel would be a light to the nations Isaiah 49:6 reads “He says, ‘It is not enough for you to be My servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the protected ones of  Israel. I will also make you a light for the nations, to bring My salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
  • This represents Engedi, the Law.
  • The numerical value of “Gedi“ גדי in En- Gedi is 17.

The number 153 in the chapters of the Bible

  •  The number 153 is not a numerical curiosity for these reasons:
  •  The Bible has 1189 chapters.
  •  Old Testament:
  •  Counting 153 chapters from Genesis 1, is Deuteronomy 1.
  •  Deuteronomy is the last words Moses spoke just before Israel entered the promised land. This started the dispensation of Law.
  •  The New Testament
  • The numerical value of the word “large” μεγάλων megalon in John 21:11 has a numerical value of 929 — the exact number of the chapters in the Old Testament, bringing the dispensation of the Law to a close.

Eneglaim

  • Peter caught 153 fish. “So, Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn”, John 21:11.
  •  Eneglaim עֶגְלַ֔יִם has a numerical value of 153:
  • ע = 70 + ג = 3 + ל = 30 + י = 10+ ם = 40.
  • The number 153 is a Harshad number: This is a number that is divisible by the sum of its integers 1 + 5 + 3 = 9 — 153/9 = 17.
  • Eneglaim is the Law combined with the Spirit.

Number 17 as a factor of 153

  • 17 is the number of victory:
  • Jesus rose from the dead on the 17th Nisan.
  • The Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost and in Acts 2, 17 nations are mentioned:
  • Acts 2:1  The Galileans;
  • Acts 2:9  Parthians, Medes, Elamites, Mesopotamians, Judeans, Cappadocians, people from Pontus, and Asia — 8 nations;
  • Acts 2:10 Residents of Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, Libya, Cyrene and Rome,— 6.
  • Acts 2:11 Cretans and Arabians, 2 nations.

The Number 9 as a factor of 153

  • Romans 8:1 reads: There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
  • The number 9 is both the number of the gifts and fruits of Holy Spirit.

The Number 9 continue

  • Fruits of the Spirit
  • Galatians 5:22,  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
  • Gifts of Holy Spirit
  • 1 Corinthians 12:8, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophesy, discerning spirits, tongues and interpretation of tongues.

Interpretation of the number 153

  •  New Testament:
  •  The number 153 can be understood to be the start the dispensation of grace and the end of Law.
  •  “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who be believes”, Romans 10:4.
  •   The factors of 153, 17 and 9 represent the victory of believers through walking in the Spirit.
  •   En-gedi the dispensation of Law— Eneglaim — the dispensation of grace.
  •   Matthew 4:19 “And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’”

Eneglaim Geographical Location

  • Eneglaim is not a location on the world map and here is why -
  •  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
  • Matthew 24:14
  • Eneglaim is all the world.

  • En- Gedi to Eneglaim ?
  • It started with the Jewish Messiah, En-Gedi, and from there is spreading to all the world, Eneglaim.
